Manufacturing Automation Engineer

Description   Conceptualize, develop, build and maintain automation assembly devices.  Assist in aligning manufacturing processes and testing across all ASCO and Numatics sites.  Provide engineering support to the manufacturing department for day to day operations.     Responsibilities  Conceptualize, justify, design and build automated assembly systems. Develop and maintain automated production equipment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date manufacturing engineering drawing files as related to changes from product engineering. Assist in the implementation of new products to the Assembly Department and provide full support on automation requirements. Obtain vendor quotes on needed machining and assembly components and determine the best suitable company to award bids based on the quality of workmanship, price quoted and delivery time stated. Support the management in decisions regarding the building operations and advise on necessary courses of action. Provide necessary Allen Bradly and Siemens PLC troubleshooting, program development and support as needed throughout the plant. Outside contractor liaison for the automation equipment as needed. Will require occasional domestic travel, with minimal international travel. Physical Demand While performing duties may be required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist or lift. May be required to work more than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week based on departmental needs.  Working Environment Office and Manufacturing Environment. May be exposed to manufacturing plant conditions and elements including but not limited to noise, dust, dirt, oil, and grease. PPEs may be required including safety glasses, ear plugs and safety shoes in specified areas of the plant.  Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Five plus years' experience preferred in a manufacturing facility. Must have a very good understanding of computer-aided drawing software, robotics, and PLCs. Must be fluent in all forms of the Microsoft Office environment. Ability to understand and troubleshoot electrical schematics. Good communication skills and the ability to relate to non-engineers a must. Must be able to independently conceive, design, build and commission complex automated electromechanical equipment quickly and with minimal need for support or training Excellent knowledge and experience in the design and application of fluid power (hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum), electro-mechanical actuators, robotic systems, and machine drive systems, servos, steppers, drives, indexers.   Work Authorization No calls or agencies please. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
